Emergence Legal Afrique was founded in 2013 under the name Centre de Recherches, d’Études et de Formation en Environnement (CREFE). In 2023 it became Emergence Legal Afrique, to better reflect the legal, environmental, social and strategic challenges of sustainable development.
ELA provides legal advice and support, studies and research, surveys and polls, and training across the mining, environmental, energy and hydrocarbons sectors.
With more than 15 years of experience in natural resources, ELA is a multidisciplinary firm whose team brings together lawyers, attorneys, environmental specialists, tax experts, sociologists, economists, logisticians and social practitioners — professionals recognised for their experience and know-how, each with over 15 years in their respective fields. This is what allows us to deliver tailored, results-driven solutions.
